Marie and Laurence are psychotherapists who offer counselling for individuals and couples in East London (IG 1), Redbridge and North West London (NW 10) where we offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for the individuals and couples to explore issues that are the cause pain and unhappiness in their lives.
Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. As psychotherapists and counsellors we work with people 'over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change and/or enhance their wellbeing.’ BACP
In our Counselling Redbridge practice we offer individual counselling, psychotherapy and couple's counselling. Counselling is focussed on what is happening in the here and now, which the individual wishes to change. Sessions are arranged so that through consistently attending to resolving the specific issue, you can be empowered to change what is most difficult and painful in your life at this moment. Where appropriate, a longer, more open-ended arrangement can be put in place by mutual agreement, in order to facilitate deeper, more exploratory work.
In our Psychotherapy North West London practice we also offer individual counselling Psychotherapy allows for that deeper exploration of issues, focussing not only on past wounding but future potential, the ways this gets blocked and can be released. Psychotherapy by it's very nature tends to be long term, usually lasting six months to a year, sometimes longer.

In our Couple's Counselling East London practice we work with couple's to explore and change what is happening in their relationship that is causing them difficulty. We work with couple's to renew and build good communication, resolve difficulties and transform patterns of behaviour and communication that keep a couple stuck in an unhappy and unhealthy way of life.
Many of the issues that people experience and suffer in their relationship create a sense of loneliness, isolation and sometimes despair as they struggle on in the hope that something will change. As therapist 's we aim to enable that change to happen through accompanying people with compassion, understanding and acceptance on their journey towards healing the wounds that trouble them and empower them to live their lives from a place of their own inner wisdom, self confidence and self belief.
We are committed to providing individual counselling, psychotherapy, couple's counselling on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to live your life more fully and thereby reach your potential.
We are experienced in helping people who have experienced difficulties with:
Depression
